Macalester College Athletics: Sports Posters

Project: For the second year in a row, the Macalester College Athletic Department came to me to design their 2019-2020 sports schedule posters. The task was to create a fresh look that still reflected the college's branding and history.
To accomplish this, I designed a custom tartan using official Macalester colors (blue and orange). This stylized tartan plays off of Macalester's official tartan (red and green), a nod to the college's Scottish heritage.
Process: I was in close communication with each coach to learn which players they wanted featured on their poster. I then scoured the athletic department's photo library for dynamic action shots. After creating several rough mock ups for each poster, I sent them off to the coaches for their feedback before starting the final versions.
